My name is Nathan Shrom, I was born in Pennsylvania, USA and moved to Berlin, Germany in 2005 where I live with my wife and two children. My day job is art teacher with children from grades 1 to 5. On the side I like to create just about anything, with a special interest in making things that are actually useful, rather than just to look at.
Creating and fixing, restoring and bringing things back to life, thinking outside the box, and finding creative solutions - these are my specialties and what gives me a rooted feeling of purpose.
I created this website to share my love for creation and to inspire others to use their hands. In an ever-more-automated and pre-fabricated world, people are forgetting their natural creative abilities and how to use their hands for more than just typing on a device.
Everything that is good in this world starts with a seed, and that seed is the creative idea. All we need to do is water it with some effort and it will grow!
